Leila Bouchir (de ECOCLUB) élement de l'équipe nationale marocaine participe au programme (TIP) 2015 Programme d'identification de talent en Canoe Sprint, au Montemor-o-Velho, au Portugal.
The first athletes of a total of 25, recently arrived at Portugal's premiere canoe sprint venue where they will be coached by three of the nations top coaches with an aim to ensure they are fully prepared for the challenge of world class competition when the championships get underway next week.
A total of 16 countries are enrolled on the programme with athletes travelling from far-and-wide to take up the opportunity.
Represented are Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Armenia, Ecuador, Georgia, Greece, Hong Kong, Macau, Morocco, Macedonia, Mozambique, Philippines, Tajikistan, Uruguay, Palau and South Africa.
Many of the athletes are women canoe paddlers due to the drive by the ICF to ensure continued progression of the discipline with an aim of it making its debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The two leading boat manufacturers NELO and PLASTEX have provided significant support in the form of professional grade equipment to assist the programme.
